Sikia Dykes

Just south of Sikia, a large basalt dyke has intruded into white sandstones, creating a dramatic contrast in color and texture.

A dyke is rock unit,  formed when molten lava gets forced into pre-existing rocks along planes of weakness, such as a fault or fracture.
