The price is 750 euro per
person. The price includes:
- All sea kayaking equipment:
your choice of kayak, Werner or GL paddle, spray-deck, BA.
- Safety and rescue equipment for the group -
spare paddles, tow lines, radios, flares, etc

The Saronic Islands or Argo-Saronic Islands is an archipelago in Greece,
named after the Saronic
Gulf in which they are located, just off the Greek
mainland. The main inhabited islands of this
Agistri, and Poros.
The islands of Hydra and Spetses,
which lie off the northeast tip of the Peloponnese (technically
in the Argolic
Gulf), are sometimes included as part of the Saronic Islands.
Aim of the expedition
An 8 day expedition from
Epidaurus on the north coast of the Argolis Peninsula to Nafplio.
The trip will follow the coast but also visit the islands of of Poros, Hydra,
Dokos and Spetsus. The total distance is around 200 km.

full days kayaking and 7 nights camping out . After your arrival in Athens
airport on April 2, you will take a shared transfer directly to Epidaurus on the
Peloponnese. Here you will stay on a sea side hotel (see
April 3. Starting
directly from the hotel we will begin our expedition.
April 3-10: 8 day sea
kayaking expedition for Epidavros to Nafplio (see map)
April 10: Arrive in Nafplio
and stay in a hotel for the night April 11: Shared
transfer to Athens Aiprort (3 hours)
Arrival and departure
You must arrive in Athens on
April 2, anytime before 5pm. I will book the transfer when I have
all flight details.
Depart from Athens on (or
after) April 11, anytime after 11am.
Required Paddling Experience
expedition is for strong and competent paddlers who would like to enjoy
the experience of an extended sea trip, including a possible open crossings of
Experience of specialist sea kayaks is
essential. To join us you should be:
to paddle up to 30km per day
Have some experience of rough water
control the boat down wind and across the wind
paddle into strong wind
Have experience and equipment
for camping in the
wind and rain.
Camping will be wild, on or near beaches.
Some are remote and there will be no facilities. Some are near to the
towns, allowing us to go shopping or for a restaurant meal. A strong lightweight,
waterproof tent is essential.
The expedition is self catering:-
Usually, we each look after our own breakfast, lunch and snacks
and prepare a group evening meal, in turn. There are
supermarkets on all the islands, near the ferry ports so we will shop
as we go to keep the boats light for carrying on and off the
restaurant meal is also an option. You are welcome to
bring food items from home if you wish.
Stoves and fuel
I will provide Trangia
camping stoves for the group - one per 4 persons. The stove
includes 2x2l pots, a kettle and a 22cm frying pan. I will also

What to wear
cagoule (waterproof paddling jacket) and neoprene trousers or
similar will be required on windy or rainy days. Shorts and a shirt will
be sufficient on most days.
